Get a Jump Start!
Improving fundamental athletic skills & self-esteem for young athletes, ages 7 to 12
Science has proven that ages 7 to 12 are the most critical years in a child’s life for motor skill development. Jump Start utilizes the most up to date research in a fun and friendly environment to build your young athlete’s physical foundation, improve coordination and self-esteem through our signature speed and body weight strength training methods.
Sessions are 1-hour long and are offered everyday at varying times. Training during these sessions focuses on speed development, body weight strength training, endurance and flexibility for all sports.
Every athlete in the Jump Start program must go through our mandatory comprehensive evaluation to first assess strengths and weaknesses and then group your athlete accordingly. After completing the initial evaluation, your athlete will be placed in one of two groups based upon performance level and age.
Group I - Athletes placed at this level will acquire basic speed specific motor skill development and conditioning. This is traditionally the youngest group in our program; participants in this group range in age from 7 to 10 years old.
Group II - Athletes placed at this level still need continued focus on speed specific motor skill development, but are demonstrating the required technique and coachability for this level. The typical age range for this group is 10 to 12 years of age. This program is a must for any young athlete who wants to develop foundational athletic skills to help get a “jump start” on the competition and improve their self-confidence at the same time.
The Jump Start Program has been proven to enhance:
• Coordination
• Running Technique
• Body Weight Strength
• First Step Quickness
• Flexibility
• Injury Prevention
• Weight Loss
• Self-Confidence
