Meet our Performance Coaches

 

  

John Collis III Ph.D

Owner

 
John is the executive director and owner of the Peak Performance Center and Parisi Speed School. Peak Performance Center is a multidisciplinary health, fitness and sports facility consisting of medical services such as orthopedics, rheumatology, physical therapy, medical massage therapy, nutritional group and individual counseling, and chiropractic medicine.  John opened PPC is 1996 and opened Ohio’s first Parisi Speed School in 2007.
John is a former All-American swimmer for Seven Time NCAA Champions, Indiana University. In 1984 he was a United States Olympic Qualifier (200M and 400 M freestyle) and a member of the 1984 Greek Olympic Team (200 M freestyle, 400 M freestyle, 400 M freestyle relay, and 800 M freestyle relay).
John has over 17 years of coaching experience, working at the Division I NCAA Level, United States Swimming Group Level & high-school level, resulting in 14 State Champions (High school level), 11 age group National Champions and 7 NCAA National Champions.
John received his doctorate in Exercise Physiology from the University of Colorado. He currently lives in Brecksville, OH with wife Katey and daughters Casey and Laina.
 

 

      

Chad Short MS

Director of Training

 Chad is a former football standout at West Liberty State College. As a starting defensive back and captain of the team, he was the All-Conference Athletic Award winner and the 2004 Senior Scholar Athlete of the Year for the West Virginia Intercollegiate Athletic Conference in Division II athletics. After receiving his Master's degree from the University of Pittsburgh, Chad became the Head Performance Coach for Velocity Sports Performance in Gibsonia, PA and was the Strength & Conditioning coach for the Pittsburgh Pirates AA affiliate, Altoona Curve for the 2007 baseball season. Chad was also the full-time Assistant Strength & Conditioning Coach for the Cleveland Browns.      

 

Liz Sellers, CPT

Community Outreach/Performance Coach

 Liz is a former All-American volleyball player for Eastern Kentucky University, where she received her bachelor’s degree in Public Relations. Liz was a four-year starter for the EKU volleyball team where she received many competitive accomplishments including a spot on the 2006 All-American and All-Midwest Region teams as well as the being named First Team All-Ohio Valley Conference from 2003-06.  Liz holds a personal training certification from the National Academy of Sports Medicine. She is currently the Head Varsity Volleyball coach for Solon High School. Liz resides in Cleveland, OH with her husband Neil.




Brett Sprockoff

Member Services Rep/Performance Coach

Brett is a graduate of the University of Akron with a degree in Exercise Science. Brett is an accomplished ski racer and has raced against various Olympians, Olympic medalists, and National and World Champions. Brett is currently a race coach at Boston Mills/Brandywine ski resort. He is the founding member of Evolution Racing, a Cleveland area race team. 

 

Will Brody MS

Performance Coach

 Will graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bacehlors degree in communications and a Masters degree in kinesiology. Will played football at the Univeristy of Minnesota where he was a Academic All-Big Ten selection. Will was also part of the 2004 Benedictine High School State Champion football team.

Josh Thacker, CPT

Performance Coach

 Josh is a NSCA certified personal trainer. He holds his USSF national C soccer license and national youth soccer license. Josh played soccer for the 1986 Regional Pool. He is now part of the Olympic Development Program for Ohio North. Josh has over 5 years of soccer coaching experience and has been part of the Peak Performance Parisi Staff for over 3 years.
