Bio: Pete was a local high school soccer player, achieving titles of Berks county player of the Year, All State, All Regional and All American. Pete graduated from Syracuse University with a B.S. in Exercise Physiology while achieving the honor of being a 3 time member of the Athletic Director's Honor Roll. He earned the titles of Offensive MVP and 4 time Big East Offensive Player of the week.
After college, Pete went on to play for the Philadelphia Kixx in the National Indoor Soccer league. This career was shortened due to injury. Now Pete has placed himself in a position to help other atahleties acheive their dreams.
Pete's goals for Parisi are to educate as many athletes and parents as possible about the mission of Parisi and to show them that the science and success behind what we do is proven and unmatched anywhere in Berks County and throughout the country.

Lisa Ostergaard, B.S, CPT
Athletic Performance Specialist
Bio: Lisa Ostergaard is an Athletic Performance Specialist for the Parisi Speed School. She has been a certified Personal Training since 1997 with ISSA, and a certified Pilates, Spin, and group fitness instructor since 2000. She is also the Group Fitness Director at SVAC. Lisa has a clinical ACSM certification pertaining to Cardiac Rehab, as well as being Advanced Cardiac Life Support Certified (ACLS).
She graduated from Utah State University with a degree in Exercise Physiology in 1996. For the next 3 years, Lisa worked in the ER at the University of Utah Hospital emergency room before transferring to the LDS Hospital in downtown Salt Lake City where she served as the Lead Exercise Therapist in Cardiopulmonary Rehab. Lisa worked with patients of all ages with heart and lung problems and helped them return to good health by implementing lifestyle changes and most importantly, EXERCISE.
Lisa has always been passionate about exercise and can't remember a time that she wasn't a competitive athlete. Swimming was her most dominate sport, but she competed in everything from volleyball to track and field. Lisa has several athletic accomplishments, but most recently she is very proud of qualifying for and running the Boston Marathon in April of 2008.
Athletics always have been and always will be a part of Lisa's life. She feels that you are never too old to want to be stronger and get faster. Since Lisa has children of her own who will someday be competing in sports, she feels that Parisi is the perfect way to accomplish any personal goals that you might have for yourself or your children to become better, stronger, faster and more confident athletes.
Joel Moceri, B.S., CPT
Athletic Performance Specialist
Bio: Joel is an Athletic Performance Specialist for the Parisi Speed School. He graduated from Wyomissing High School in 2001. In August 2006, he completed degrees in Kinesiology and Commercial Recreation Management from Pennsylvania State University. Joel attended Penn State on a athletic scholarship for cross country and track. He earned First Team All Regional Honors for cross country. He continues to train and compete in local races.
Joel has a strong belief in functional training specific to each individual’s athletic activities. In addition to Parisi, Joel is a Certified Personal Trainer and Performance Enhancement Specialist through the National Academy of Sports Medicine. Joel serves as an assistant coach for cross country and outdoor track at Wyomissing Area High School
Kathy Cunningham
Athletic Performance Specialist
Bio: Kathy is a Performance Coach for the Parisi Speed School at Spring Valley Athletic Club. She completed Parisi Training and is in the process of completing her Personal Training Certification through the International Sports Sciences Association (ISSA).
Kathy graduated from Reading Senior High School and Clarion University with a Bachelors of Science Degree in Business Administration, majoring in Management. Kathy is near completion of her Elementary Education Certificate and Master’s in Education at Alvernia College . She has also attended Reading Area Community College , Bucknell University and Dickinson College for various banking courses and certifications.
In high school, Kathy excelled in Field Hockey, Cross Country, Track, and Swimming. She received All-League and All-State Swimming Honors and was named to the All-Berks Track Team. In college, Kathy was a 5 time Swimming All-American. Kathy remains very active. She completed her first Triathlon this year and is currently training for her first Marathon .
Kim Weigner, B.S.
Athletic Performance Specialist
Bio: Kim is an Athletic Performance Coach for Parisi Speed School. Kim draws upon her knowledge from education and life experiences to give guidance to young athletes who are looking for direction. She enjoys watching athletes overcome obstacles and achieve goals both physically and mentally. Kim is a graduate from Kutztown University with a B.S in Sports Management. Kim has played many sports including swimming, track and cross country. She has also completed a triathlon and continues to train for more. Kim’s enthusiasm and positive outlook on life is contagious and she is committed to helping her athletes attain their personal goals while having fun!
Ben Kirk, B.A.
Athletic Performance Specialist
Bio: Ben Kirk is an Athletic Performance Specialist with ParisiSpeedSchool. In 2009, he graduated from MessiahCollege with a B.A. in Sport Management. Ben draws most of his knowledge from a diverse athletic background.
In high school Ben played soccer, basketball, and baseball. He earned 1st team all league honors two times for baseball and soccer. In college, Ben was a starter on the Men’s Varsity Baseball team all four years as a catcher; where he earned 1st and 2nd team all conference honors three out of four years.
Today, Ben still remains very active, constantly training and participating in athletics whenever possible. He has a tremendous passion for coaching and working with today’s youth to reach their goals of playing at the next level.
Bio:Travis graduated from Michigan State University in 2005. During that time, he played football and club volleyball. Travis was named MVP of the Big Ten Men's Volleyball conference for two years as well as a NIRSA All- American. Since graduation, Travis has been playing professional beach volleyball on the AVP Tour and has been a EVP Tour contract player.
Travis has just moved to the area to teach local athletes the skills from Parisi Speed School that will enable them to become better athletes and enjoy the rewards from excelling in sports just as he was able to do. When not teaching our athletes at Parisi, you can find Travis outdoors (probably playing volleyball!).
