3 Footwork Drill to Improve Boxing

Home » Blog » 3 Footwork Drill to Improve Boxing

February 12, 2017 //  by POW Chicago

“Rhythm is everything in boxing. Every move you make starts with your heart, and that’s in rhythm or you’re in trouble.”    Sugar Ray Robinson

Katalin, the Owner of Parisi Speed School of Chicago  incorporates many different footwork drills into the boxing classes. The goal of footwork drills is to teach rhythm while developing comfortable movement when punching. These three footwork drills utilize: cones, the zoid agility ladder and the xercuff.    Fighters like Sugar Ray Robinson offer inspiration for all boxing coaches.  Here are some drills you can do to develop more natural footwork.

Keep in mind, your punches have no value without footwork.
