We’ve talked a lot about different types of sports injuries over the last few months, how they occur and how to prevent them. While in most cases it is easy to tell when you are injured or hurt, a lot of times it is hard to decipher when an athlete is dealing with typical soreness or if some type of injury has taken place. In this month’s Atlantic Health Sports Medicine series, we take a look at self-assessment and how important it is for an athlete to recognize his or her body cues to see if they should take the next step and seek medical attention.
