Parisi Cedardale

September 27, 2016 //  by Parisi School//  1 Comment

The Parisi Speed School at Cedardale opened in 2007, and is owned by the Veasey family, who have run a successful health club for the past 45 years. The program is run and managed by John Kydd (Program Director) & Michael Thompson (Assistant Program Director) and employs two part-time coaches, Rob Hardy & Mark Martinez.

John Kydd has been the PD for 4 years now at Cedardale and he brings with him a wealth of experience as a former collegiate football player. John initially got into this field because he wanted to train athletes, but he knew he needed to get better at coaching movement mechanics, which is how he found Parisi. He is very passionate about getting quality movements out of his athletes during the runs and lifts. During his free time, John is a competitive drag racer and a proud father of two boys.

Michael Thompson has been the APD for 9 months now, but has successfully helped other businesses open and turnaround to become more successful. Mike brings with him 12 years of military service that helps him implement and create successful and efficient systems that increase productivity. Along with 7 years as a High School Athletic Trainer – during which time he successfully decreased injury rates at multiple High Schools by 50-60%, reducing referrals and time lost by athletes. Mike has also been honored/awarded by the Red Cross for saving a life as an athletic trainer. During his free time Mike is an avid outdoorsman/angler and a proud father of two boys.

“The Parisi Speed School has given us both a platform on which to grow and voice our own unique perspectives as it relates to human performance and injury prevention. It’s great being part of something bigger than yourself. The network is there, the experience is there, the help is there – but first you have to ask…”
