KeymasterWeek 1 kicks off the mentorship just how you would start with any athlete- assessment. This week we look at how Parisi assesses athletes for speed!
As we go through the week- or as you prepare for this week in advance, fire away any questions (for the QnA or in general) below!

ParticipantMorning. I am currently combing through and reading all parts regarding assessing – whether it’s during the active dynamic warm-up or measuring and assessing strength for speed- in the book Anatomy For Speed. Is there any other material available for me to get into before week one starts?

KeymasterHey Coach, in relation to this week, content will start when the mentorship starts on 3/6.
Available content right now are the two courses (under the courses tab) and the hours of recorded coaching calls (under the coaching call tab) and the playlist of coaching habits (under the coaching habits tab)

ParticipantHello!! I’m plugging along and had to tell you that I’m very sad that I missed the first coaching call. I can’t believe you dropped the new book news so nonchalantly! Haha. I can’t get that book in my hands fast enough. Question regarding analyzing the running technique and where it fits into the assessment… I get the overall flow of the original meeting (background info, see facility, introduce to warm-up and then flow into assessment? Am I correct in that order?). I’m curious if the background information, facility tour and ADW are all on one day and then a return for the metric testing? Where does the running technique analysis fit into play? While they are doing the ADW? Or during the baseline testing? Referring back to my notes, I made note of steps you tend to follow and I cannot remember if you said it all happened on day one or not. Is there ever an opportunity to come watch a live assessment and shadow just to get an idea? I live in Portland Maine and would love that opportunity, if it exists.
Thanks for a great first chat. My job only affords me so much time but I have blocked my lunches out for some of them. I am sad I can’t talk directly to Bill this week. Please just tell him I am a fan and appreciate his expertise in this field and sharing of it (and the same for you, Casey). I appreciate the Parisi perspective so far. Thanks for all the tips.

ParticipantGuidance on how to proceed with material, please.
Online curse has the ADW with a bunch of series and quizzes.
Coaching Habit has 6 videos on ADW exercises and coaching.I know both of these are important but, as far as this week goes, is there one area I should place ahead of the other for flow of content/lessons/mentorship?
Thank you for the 4×4 Matrix. I assume the regressions and progressions can be whatever tools we have in our toolbox, correct? You spoke of regressions but if I wanted to progress the, say, bird dog/QP position, I could progress it to bear crawl (sag. and/or lat); correct? And lunges could progress to loaded and with rotation?
Thanks, Coach!
