Parisi Champion of the Month: Erika Beeler

Erika Beeler started training with Parisi Master Coach, Chad Coy, when she was 14 years old.

“As her coach I watched her grow up from a 14-year-old girl with a dream, to a woman that lived her dream,” said Chad. “It saddens me to know that her college experience is over, but I know she is ready for whatever life tosses her way.”

We recently received a letter from Erika about her experience with Parisi:

As an athlete, it’s vital to have a strength coach and training program that pushes you physically and mentally in order to reach your peak performance during competition. This is exactly what my strength coach, Chad Coy, and the Parisi program did for me as a student-athlete.

My dream as a kid was to play softball at a collegiate level, so my parents and I knew I needed top notch training program to get me to that point. Coach Coy was the coach who knew how to get me there on a physical level. Coach Coy not only trained me to be physically tough, but also mentally tough, which in my opinion,  is 99% of the game.

Overcoming the tough Parisi training sessions and pushing through when it seemed impossible is exactly what built my mental and physical strength and transformed me into a high-caliber athlete. I’ll never forget Coach Coy telling me,

“Even when training sucks in the moment, when it comes game day, I will be equipped to overcome whatever it brings.”

I am thankful for Coach Coy and the Parisi program. These are the key attributes which built my foundation as a young athlete and transformed me into becoming a D1 BigTen athlete at Purdue University.
